The National Eligibility Test (NET)


The National Eligibility Test (NET), also known as UGC (University Grant Commission) NET, is a test to determine eligibility for college and university level lecturership and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals. It aims to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in teaching professions and research. Net exam is not only conducted for finding the eligible candidates for the teaching. It also help to get the scholarship from the central government. It is said to be as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and after successful completion of two years the candidate called as Senior Research Fellow (SRF).

You can also become Research Fellow, Project Fellow, Project Assistant/Associate or Research Analyst in many reputed organization, universities or laborites.
